As a global leader in food, pet care, and snacking, Mars is deeply committed to embedding human rights, environmental sustainability, and ethical business practices into every aspect of their operations. In response to increasing global scrutiny and a complex regulatory landscape, they are elevating their sustainability efforts and seeking a Director of Sustainability Compliance to lead their global compliance strategy.
This senior role offers the opportunity to drive meaningful change by developing and implementing a comprehensive governance and compliance program that aligns with long-term sustainability goals. You will lead their compliance with key regulatory frameworks such as the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), using them as a foundation for broader sustainability initiatives. Your ability to navigate and interpret legislation, manage global projects, and proactively address risks will be critical in ensuring compliance across their global supply chains.
As a key advisor and influencer, you will collaborate closely with teams across functions, countries, and regions to build awareness, assess readiness, and guide strategic decision-making. Your insights will help anticipate regulatory trends, strengthen due diligence processes, and uphold their commitment to responsible sourcing and human rights. This is a highly visible role that will require strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
Seeking candidates with several years of experience in sustainability, governance, or supply chains within a multinational corporate environment. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of global regulatory landscapes, proven success in implementing compliance programs, and the ability to influence without direct authority. If you’re action-oriented, highly collaborative, and ready to help shape a more sustainable future, we’d love to hear from you.
