Acre is proudly working with a high profile, long-term privately owned property business with an exceptional mixed-use portfolio across some of London’s most prestigious locations. With a strong focus on stewardship, place making and long-term value, sustainability is an important part of how the organisation manages, develops, and invests in its portfolio.
The business is now looking for an experienced Sustainability Project Manager to help deliver the next phase of its sustainability agenda.
Working closely with the Head of Sustainability and teams across the wider business, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio of projects, covering everything from decarbonisation and energy efficiency to embodied carbon, environmental performance, resilience, supply chain, and sustainability data.
The Opportunity
The Sustainability Project Manager will independently manage projects from initial brief through to procurement, delivery, and evaluation.
The portfolio will include:
- Decarbonisation & Energy, low-carbon heat, heat pumps, energy efficiency, solar PV, controls, metering, EPCs and MEES.
- Development & Embodied Carbon, embedding sustainability into development and refurbishment projects, including whole-life carbon and sustainable procurement.
- Environmental Performance & Resilience, waste, water, biodiversity, urban greening, and climate adaptation.
- Supply Chain & Partnerships, improving supplier performance, emissions data and accountability, alongside occupier and community engagement.
- Data, Reporting & Assurance, developing robust performance data and analysis to support senior decision-making, reporting and disclosure.
This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to have a real impact across their high-profile London portfolio. You will influence how sustainability is delivered across the estate, engaging with tenants, suppliers, local authority, and community groups.
Required Experience
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong project management skills, including experience across scope, programme, procurement, budgets, risk and stakeholder management.
- Practical experience of property sustainability, with knowledge across areas such as carbon, energy, retrofit, embodied carbon, EPC/MEES, waste, water, biodiversity or resilience.
- Experience managing consultants, contractors and other delivery partners.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn complex information and data into clear, practical recommendations.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to work with senior and cross-functional stakeholders.
- A pragmatic, commercially aware approach and a strong focus on getting things delivered.
Experience within a property owner, investor, developer, managing agent, or consultancy would be particularly valuable. Experience of working across mixed-use, occupied or heritage-sensitive environments would also be advantageous.
