Acre is partnering with a global technology company that make high-precision instruments, software, and testing equipment, that are looking for a Sustainability Data & Reporting Lead to join their team. This is a newly created role within their growing sustainability team, offering the opportunity to lead and shape the global emissions reporting strategy.
As the Sustainability Data & Reporting Lead, you’ll be central to delivering our client’s ambitious 2030 Net Zero targets, and own the strategy and systems for capturing, managing, and analysing the scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions data. This is a great opportunity to combine strategic thinking, global stakeholder engagement, and data excellence to influence sustainability outcomes across the organisation.
Reporting in to the Head of Sustainability, you will
- Lead the development and implementation of the global scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions data strategy and manage the partnerships with external advisors.
- Provide insight-driven analysis to track performance and shape strategic decisions.
- Build internal capability and train stakeholders globally to ensure accurate data collection.
- Lead on external reporting (ESOS, CDP, EV100) and customer sustainability disclosures.
- Evolve and improve scope 3 reporting, especially within product and supply chain categories.
- Deliver high-quality, audit-ready emissions reporting across all scopes.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in leading global sustainability data strategies in a corporate setting.
- Excellent data analysis skills paired with the ability to communicate complex insights simply and persuasively to a wide array of stakeholders.
- A strategic mindset, with strong execution skills and experience influencing senior stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience managing complex data systems.
- Strong knowledge of climate and energy reporting frameworks and legislation.
Compensation
- Hybrid working model- based in London, 10 days per month, with opportunity for UK and international travel.

You’ll work closely with consultants, strategic partners, and project managers to deliver high-quality research, data analysis, and industry insights. Your work will support companies in navigating the evolving sustainability landscape and driving positive environmental and social outcomes. As part of the team, you will help deliver transformative change in the food industry.
Reporting in to the Associate Director Senior Lead, you will conduct research and insights, consisting of
- Monitoring sustainability trends in the food industry (climate, nature, health).
- Analyse data and insights to identify key trends and findings.
- Support the creation of the insight report.
- Stay updated on sustainability and ESG developments in the food industry.
Support with projects and client work
- Help develop sustainability frameworks and strategies for clients.
- Support stakeholder engagement
- Assist in preparing proposals.
Get involved in Project/Account Management
- Collaborate with project leads to set up client projects, including defining scope and developing project kick-off materials.
- Support progress reports and updates for projects.
- Over time, manage small projects.
- Conduct post-project reviews, sharing both learnings and case studies to showcase project success.
Knowledge, requirements, and profile
- 1-3 years’ experience, ideally within a consultancy or a sustainability-related role.
- A passion for sustainability and the food industry.
- Clear and effective communicator, with the ability to build relationships with clients and teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Compensation and benefits
- Competitive salary (£30,000-£35,000 dependent on experience).
